Hawaii-Newlyweds and going Home

Yes, we were nice enough to let Renee and Papo hang out with us newlyweds, haha. When you live halfway around the world from your family and you are in the same area as them, you spend time with them even if they did just get married. They had a few days of honeymoon, and we did let them hangout at our hotel while we were on the big island. In return they had to hang out with us or maybe they chose to... We had fun either way!
Then the time came to leave. It was a sad day. We had so much fun with my family and being in a beautiful place. Bret and I both agreed it was good our kids were here in Germany because that was the only reason we came back. We did miss them! Our travels home were ok. Our first flight was really delayed so we had to change flights but it all worked out and they put us up in a hotel. It went by faster coming home. Jet lag was so much harder to deal with when we were home that next day but it was so good to see our kids and hear their exciting stories.

Enjoying a Dole Whip!!!

Sometimes we're special.

Playing a game at the PCC.

A papaya tree.

Bret fell in love with papayas while we were there. He had one almost every morning.

Food from a truck.

Pineapples!!!

A little canoeing at the PCC.

I love this picture. We sat here and just talked for awhile.

Papo was working, we were relaxing...

Our first flight home. We had mixed feelings. Happy to see our kids again and sad to be leaving!

How we decided to express our emotions.

Goodbye Hawaii...

We made it home!!!
