TN-Grand Ole Orpy & Dancing

We went and played in Nashville. It was so much fun! We went and toured the Grand Ole Opry and went out dancing and checking out the stores in down town Nashville. The Opry was awesome. One day maybe we can make it to a show there. We trekked a long way to get to the Opry house from where we parked just to find out we didn't need to walk so far. We laughed about it and just got a good work out I guess and went the short way back to the car :)

We wanted to take pictures on these stairs on our way to the Opry house. This was the practice one Renee took to make sure everyone would be in it when she set the timer...

but then when she joined us Colton got cut out...the camera must have shifted.

The railings looked great for sliding.

However it was hot and sticky so not much sliding happened but it was still fun.

Just playing a little guitar outside of the Grand Ole Opry.

Some of the dressing rooms at the Grand Ole Opry

The "Green Room" If you look close at the poster behind us you can see the water line from the flood in 2010. Look at the square brown box area on the left and up some of the podium on the right.

On stage looking out, with some random people in the pic.

As close to "the Barn" on stage as we could get.

All the names of the members of the Opry. I had to find Rascal Flatts :)

The mail boxes if you want to send any of the members mail.

We made it to the Grand Ole Opry House!

This was on the set where they film "Nashville".  I haven't seen it.

Looking up at the stage.

We were so excited to be there!

Our tour guide. He was super nice.

Pictures a bit blurry. It was raining while we were walking to broadway st in Nashville so Colton let me borrow his hat. I also needed to fit in more in Nashville :)

The bar we went dancing at. Colton got us all in for free because he was military. They also couldn't see his birthday very well on his military card (its really small on the back) and his drivers license was a temporary paper one (his real one was in the mail after renewing it) and they can't except paper so they had to put marks on his hands so the bar tenders new not to serve him alcohol. We just laughed and said "OK".

Not a great picture but Colton is out teaching some people how to country swing dance. I had not danced for a long time and Colton was trying all these different lifts with me. It was fun and luckily it was a thursday night so not too many crazy drunk people. Also that kid up singing was awesome. He has an "emo" type style in his dressing, is about 16ish and is skinny, then he starts singing...his voice is a deep country voice. It is not something you expect to come out of him.
