Kindergarten!

     Cooper started Kindergarten this year!!! He has been so excited to go for so long. I, on the other hand have not been so excited. I can't believe I have a kid in school! He started on Aug. 11, so early but they do get out kind of early I think. He has loved it so far. It still is just crazy to have him gone all day. Who decided 5 was a good age to send your kid away from home 7 hours a day 5 days a week? So many people have said to me "isn't it nice to have one kid less at home" but I feel like it really just adds stress and craziness trying to get him ready and everyone pack up and get him to school and then Lynndon's playmate is gone all day. I often have to wake up McCoy and Lynndon from their naps to go get him from school (which luckily is only about 2 blocks away). I held it together some what well when I dropped him off. I think I cried more though picking him up. I was so excited to see him and see how his day was. I have never really been one to cry the first time I left my kids with a sitter and I have had some nights away from them. I knew though that all those were short lived. This is just the start of him being in school for a long time and I have had a hard time with it. I do, however, feel so grateful that i get to be a stay and home mom and spent those 5 and 1/2 years with him at home all day. I know a lot of families don't get to do that and have to start leaving their kids all day at a daycare at like 6 weeks old. Oh man, so crazy. I love this kid!

I let him choose his outfit for the first day. He loves this jersey he got from his trip to Tennessee last year.

He really was very excited to be there. 

Now its just these 2 at home with me.
