We were told we had to be in Baltimore 24 hours before our flight out to Germany. Our flight was at midnight. So we flew from Milwaukee to Baltimore. Once we got to Baltimore we got a hotel and spent the night there. We had to check out of the hotel by noon but that still left us with 12 hours before our flight. Luckily the Baltimore airport has a USO (a place for military family's to kinda hang out, have snacks, watch movies...). So we hung out there for awhile and then came our flight, finally! The kids were so excited that each seat on the plane had a screen in front of them. However it was midnight and all 3 of them fell asleep before we even took off and slept pretty much the whole 7 hour flight. Bret and I tried really hard to sleep but it was very difficult/uncomfortable. We landed in Germany and things were starting to feel a little more real. A couple people from Brets work here came to pic us up. Bret met his commander and then we got in a car....again and drove another 2 1/2 hours to where we really needed to be. We were so exhausted and ready to be at our hotel and get some sleep!!!
Our kids are amazing and did so well in all of our traveling! They love staying in Hotels, riding in airplanes, and eating out so they were set. Car rides they aren't as thrilled about but still do really well. I think in all of our driving starting from NM and ending in Germany (just over 45 hours worth of driving) they only watched 2 or 3 movies. The rest of the time they entertained themselves with their toys, books, naps, and snacks. I love my little family!

| Gotta love morning hair especially when you go to bed with it wet. Lynndon and I look more alike than I think we do sometimes. |
