Pre-Christmas

I'm keeping up with my posting about things months after they happen... Any who. For Christmas this last year we made a big trip to Wisconsin! Before we left we did a little Christmas with us and the kids. Opening gifts from my parents and grandparents. We also gave Cooper and Lynndon their gift from us.  The next day we left for our 25 hour drive. We decided to do the trip in one straight shot. We left at 7pm (NM time) and got to WI at 9pm (WI time) the next day. It was not as bad as I thought it would be. The kids slept pretty good for being in a car. We only had to entertain them for the 12-14 hours they were awake for the trip rather than days of being in a car and having to stop at a hotel, calm them down from being excited to be in hotel, sleep and wake up again to sit in a car. Bret drove about 20 hours total and me about 5. Bret would have a hard time sleeping in the car so he just wanted to drive. Driving home is a very different story, for later. We got there a couple days before Christmas so we finished our christmas shopping for people, the kids got to make some graham cracker houses with the cousins, and acting out the christmas story.

We were not home long in between thanksgiving and leaving for Christmas so this was our tree.

It rained pretty much the whole drive there. This is driving through St. Louis. You can kind of see the arch. It was cool to drive through and see the arch and old buildings they have around there.

McCoy made a pretty good baby Jesus.

Wise men with their gifts.

They got to open a gift the night before Christmas from g-pa Zen and g-ma Denni. They each got some money to put toward their mission.

Cooper and Lynndon putting some reindeer food out. Cooper was excited to put out some milk and cookies for santa also.
