We came back to Page to pick up our RV from the Mangum's house and we headed off toward Wisconsin. We actually stopped in Iowa to see my brother and his family before WI. Im writing about this awhile later so I don't remember all the places we stopped on our way. I believe we took three days though to travel out there. We stayed in RV parks along the way. It was a rough start though. It was hot outside and the RV is heavy! It worked Brets truck over. The truck overheated only about a half hour to an hour into our drive. We let it cool down and then turned the heater on in the truck to pull some heat of the engine. It did work but we were so hot in the truck. It also melted the vents. We eventually made it to our first place and we decided it would be best to get up early in the morning and start driving before it got too hot outside. The second day was better but we did have to go extremely slow through the mountain areas of Colorado. Then it was even better driving through the flat lands of Kansas. It was definitely an adventure. Stressful but an adventure.

| The Mangums had written on the windows of the RV when we got back to pick it up. It was so fun to see the notes. Page has some good poeple. |
| I think this is when we were stopped, waiting for it to cool down. |
| It was so hot under the engine that when we stopped to get gas it started spewing out stuff. |
| We made it to our first stop and just chilled. Bret is reading a book to the kids. |
| Up nice and early to drive in cooler weather. |
| Bret was excited to see green. |
| We have awesome friends that gave us gift cards to eat out for our drive. This was still just after the major hit of covid so the inside of McD's was closed and only the drive through was open. The RV is too big to go through the drive through so Lynndon and I walked through the drive through. One person did offer for us to get in there car with them but we declined. |
| Fun in the car. |
| I learned that if the kids were fighting I just had to take a picture of them and they would stop and smile. |
| Pretending to fight now... |
| More fun on the drive. Trying to stay busy. |
| The melted vent. |
| The kids got pretty good at helping hook every thing up and take down each night and morning. |
| When you're little, you get the small space jobs. |
| One RV place we stayed had a pool. |
| More travel entertainment. Bret drumming with the empty bottle. |
