Moving away from Page

Where to start... about 10 ish months before this, Bret was feeling very burnt out with his job. Being on call and people just calling all the time and at all hours of the night was way too much. Around this time Michelle, who he worked with at Holloman, was working at Hill AFB. She contacted Bret telling him that the civilian Vet at Hill AFB was retiring and she thought of Bret for the job. We discussed this and thought about it. It would mean a pay cut but more family time and no on call. It also would take us farther from my family but closer to an airport and 6 hour drive less from Bret's family. We decided to go for it. It was sad to be leaving Page, we all had some friends and of course family close. I also was starting to think about doing some gymnastic classes because there wasn't going to be any gymnastics options. We felt like this was the move for our family though.
Renting around Hill AFB is expensive and our timeline of when we would need to be there for his job was not known. So we decided to buy an RV and we were just going to live in that to try to save money. Hindsight, a different RV might have been better. However it was nice and it worked. Once school was done at the end of May, Bret was done with work and we moved out of our house. We called this time and the next year or so the "Miller family Adventure".

Sand blown in the cracks of the door from a wind storm.

Zen and Brets Uncle Ted came to fish Lake Powell at the same time we were moving out. This was going to see Horseshoe bend.

Trying to figure out why the fridge was not getting cold.

Hanging out in the RV.

Movie night

Saying good bye to friends.

McCoy and his buddy Jett.

Dinner with Chris and Sophia. Dancing at the restaurant.

The Mangums let us keep the RV in their driveway for a little bit. We only slept in it for one night in the driveway and then we went to Kanab and left it at their house.

It barely fit, we just couldn't put the slides out all the way.

Good bye house.
