Bret and I got to have a date night. I feel like there is always a festival of some sort going on here. This time it was the Fruhlings fest (spring festival). We had so much fun just he and I. Eating the things we wanted and doing some of the small rides together.
On another note. In our cute little town they had a little gathering for the first of May. Setting up a May pole. It was interesting and I don't really know the whole story behind it. The kids all tied a ribbon on the tree and then they put it up. It was super tall!!! Then we got some delicious ice cream and called it good.

One of the only phrases that I knew in German when we moved here was Ich Liebe Dich (I Love You), that Bret taught me forever ago. I have seen these heart pillows at the multiple festivals we've been to. Bret was determined this time to get me one. It took him one round of playing this game to get it. I like the pillow and Bret was very proud of himself.

He did not do as well on this game but still had fun shooting a bow.

Attaching the tree to a very long pole.

Tying the ribbons on.

And its up.
|
The best part, ice cream!

I don't know what is going on in this photo but it looks interesting.
