Pumpkin Festival

We took a drive to Ludwigsburg to go to the pumpkin festival. Every year they have a different theme for their pumpkins. This year was things that fly. They also have a fairytale area. You walk around different little buildings they have set up with the different depiction of fairytales. I wish we would have brushed up on our German fairytales. I did not know what a lot of them were. It was still fun and interesting!
Ludwigsburg.
So beautiful!

Fliegen is fly in english.

Lynndon is "holding" her hand.

This is "Rapunzel's castle" It was by far Lynndon's favorite.  If you look close you can see her  "hair" that is hanging down on the left side of the building. Once you walk up there, if her hair is not down you can yell "Rapunzel Rapunzel let down your hair" and it would come down.

In the castle.

We had to walk through a little maze to get here. You then had to run across and try not to get wet.

A boat ride.

Lynndon was scared at first for some reason.

I think this one had to do with David and Goliath. You pulled that black lever on the right side of the door and the guy would come up and say something...but it was in German.

Hansel and Gretel

Train ride!

Red riding hood : )
