I don't think I have written anything about McCoy really since he was born. Partially because im busy with 3 little kids at home all the time and part because I don't really like to write, it takes me forever. McCoy is a super easy baby for the most part. It is easy to make him smile and is pretty content. This kid starting at about 2 days old would only get up twice at night to eat and go right back to sleep. He now does about 11 hours at night. However he has had multiple ear infections, any time a cold goes around he gets it and sounds awful in his chest for a long time, and the poor guy has to get circumcised again after he turns a year. The doc that did it was there temporarily and said it had been awhile since he worked in pediatrics...anywho, there is still extra skin there and it's not even if that makes sense.
A couple weeks ago he had is 9 month check up. He weighed 17 lbs 5 oz. He hadn't gained any weight in 2 months! I about died. I felt awful. The doc said to maybe add some formula. He sounded super pro formula and kept comparing formula and breast milk like it was the same thing. I don't think that there is anything wrong with formula and I don't care if other people give it to their kids but I know that my body can produce milk so i'm going to feed him. I am upping my milk and how many times a day I feed him a long with trying to give him more solids. He doesn't like pureed foods at all. It just has to be real food cut in little pieces to get him to eat it. Hopefully that works. My fingers are crossed. This is all new to me. Cooper and Lynndon ate just fine and were little chunkier babies. Cooper weighed a few ounces more than McCoy is right now, when he was 4 months old and Lynndon weighed this much about 5 months old. The week after his appointment we had a stomach bug go through our house. That did not help but we are all good now and working on gaining weight.
McCoy loves Cooper but is not always a fan of Lynndon. He's getting faster with his army style crawling, likes to shake his head when we try to give him pureed foods and if we say no no no (not super proud of that one), he'll say dada and mama and just recently started waving. He also has 4 teeth with 2 more almost all in, loves to play with hair, he'll give high fives, and clap. He is so fun. I love this kid so much!

Cache didn't gain any weight between his 7 and 9 month appointments, and only gained about a lb between his 9 and 12 month appointments. I think some kids just have a faster metabolism and as long as he doesn't seem fussy or hungry, I don't think there's any reason to be concerned or feel bad. (And I agree that there's probably no reason to supplement--some doctors are so quick to suggest that!)
