Halloween 2013

For Halloween this year we did the Library story time and then they walk around the offices upstairs from the library trick or treating. That same day we carved our pumpkins and went to our ward trunk or treat. On Halloween we did some trick or treating to some houses in our neighborhood. It is crazy on base. There are tons of people out trick or treating. They have security forces out walking around to make sure its all good. We gave out all the candy we bought plus most of what the kids got from the previous trick or treating. So we end up with just the candy from going around our neighborhood.
I don't really love Halloween. So we don't get into it much. I don't care to dress up. I don't like buying all that candy and I don't really love having all that candy in my house and listening to my kids ask every 2 minutes if they can have some. My kids are also scared of everything so they were just glued to my legs as we walked around. Lynndon asked multiple times when "good" Halloween was because that one is not scary. I still tried to make it fun and show them that the costumes and things are not real but they are still pretty scared. Their night lights are now not enough and want to have their door open and the hall light on. I was like that as kid (and still kind of a chicken) and was hoping my kids wouldn't be but they are...

Carving pumpkins. This I don't mind doing and is kind of fun.

They both actually put their hands in the pumpkins to clean them out this year!

Awful picture but Lynndon wanted to be "princess buzz" for the ward trunk or treat.  So we added a bow to Coopers old costume.

Just before we went trick or treating in our neighborhood.
