Brets eyes -PRK

A couple weeks ago Bret had PRK done. He got it done for free, money wise, but still has to do his time serving in the military. Which he doesn't mind doing. PRK is corrective eye surgery like lasik. The army base that he got it done at only does PRK but he didn't qualify for Lasik anyways. PRK is a little more invasive, hurts more, and has a longer recovery time. It is supposed to be better though and he doesn't have the "flap" on his eye like when you get Lasik done. They gave him 6 days from work to recover. The day he got it done was not to bad. Then the night of the 2nd day and then the 3rd day were killer for him. His eyes didn't feel to well, which was normal and they had given him pain meds for it. He also is constantly putting eye drops in. He has steroids to drop in and he did an antibiotic for a while. On top of those he has the "artificial tears" to put in every 10 or so minutes. Now a couple weeks later his eyes are doing pretty good and his sight gets progressively better. My eye sight is pretty good so we are constantly "testing" his sight with "can you read that sign" games.  He is pretty happy to not be wearing glasses any more! I didn't get a pic on the 3rd day when his eyes were the worst, all red and what not.

Before

After (doesn't look different just no glasses)

He does A LOT of this!

Lynndon reading to him while he is recovering.
