Having Fun in NM

We really have had a lot of fun in this last month that we've been here. The second week we were here was not so fun. Every one us had some issue at some point that week that i don't really want to go into details about but other than that it has been great. It has been so awesome to be able to go play outside, pretty much every day. It does get kind of hot but we just make sure we've got the sun screen and water bottles and we are good!

Playing at the free (if you have a military ID) pool! It's about 2 blocks from where we are staying. This is the kid pool it is just a big rectangle that is all about a foot deep. Cooper has fun but Lynndon loves it. They also both really like going down that big slide with mom or dad.

The splash area at the pool.

Bret ate at "Doner" places in Germany all the time and loved it. We heard about this place and Bret decided we had to eat here. It is this little tiny place in a random spot. Had we not heard from a few people about it, I would have been nervous eating here but it was pretty good. Bret said it was just like he remembered.

'Tops in Blues'
One night we went to a Tops in Blues concert. It was so fun and free! It is a group of Aif Force people that tour around the world singing and dancing. Both the kids and Bret and I really enjoyed it. They had flashing lights and music going constantly for about an hour and a half. They would go right into the next song with out stopping really. They had to have been so tired and hot. They sang a lot of popular songs of every genre. Cooper sat mesmerized just watching through the whole thing. Lynndon after every song, until close to the end, would get a huge grin and start clapping. The last little bit she started to wonder and try to make friends with the people around us. Luckily she is cute and the people didn't mind.
I tried to get a picture of  Lynndon clapping excitedly. If I went in front of her she got distracted so this is just a side view.
Mesmerized... Lynndon would occasionally try to copy their dancing and singing. It was pretty funny.

One of the first songs in their blue outfits. The girls in the group are in the front there and the guys are down the isle.

They sang some country songs :)

This seemed kind of weird to me but it was pretty funny. This guy mimed through a whole Bruno Mars song.

They sang a few Michael Jackson songs. This was "Thriller"

This place was only about a half an hour a way up in the mountains. We went to check it out with our friends the Fredbergs. It is a cute little store that sells big ol' hot dogs and some really good fudge...and other little nik naks.

Eating the big hot dogs.
