After A LOT of thought and prayer Bret and I decided to get out of the military. It had done us well and we did not regret doing the military thing but felt like it was time for something else and maybe settle down somewhere. We both really liked Idaho and didn't want to have to "choose" one of our families to live by so Bret started looking for jobs there and found multiple options. We were pretty set on Idaho until the Vet in Kanab started looking for a Vet to work for him in a clinic he was buying in Page AZ. My sister in-law tagged us in a post that the Kanab Vet had posted. We blew it off some because that wasn't our plan. My family would ask if we were considering it and if we had talked to Kevin, the Kanab Vet, but we hadn't. So after a bit Bret was like, I'll just call and talk to him so we can say we gave it a chance and not totally blow it off. After talking to Kevin, Bret thought it actually sounded like a decent deal so it wasn't off the table. We did more praying and Bret headed out to Idaho for some interviews. Those went well but after talking to Kevin again for a really long time decided he should head to Kanab/Page to see what it was like. We knew Kanab because my family is there but didn't know much about Page which was an hour away from Kanab. All we knew was that Lake Powell was near Page. After Bret visiting and talking to Kevin we both felt like Page was where we needed to go. So here we are and its been pretty good. It is nice to live by family and only have to travel to one family instead of both. We like the small town and dry heat also.
Then it came to needing a place to live. Housing in Page is slim and not great and expensive so i was not too excited about that. However it worked out well that the Old vet in Page that sold his practice to Kevin was going to China with his wife to teach english for about 10 months. So we lived in their house while they were gone which gave us time to look for a place of our own. Their house was nice and had a very beautiful view out the back window and was perfect for what we needed at the time. They even left it furnished for us because our stuff was still in the process of coming from Germany.
A few days after moving to Page, Cooper and Lynndon started school and I continued my search for a preschool for McCoy. It was a quick start but they are good sports and Lynndon only got a little nervous about getting lost. Both kids loved their teachers!

| Page is small but it does have a Walmart. McCoy was excited that this dog on the box looks like Yuri, G-ma Denni's dog. |
 |
| Yay for walmart randoms. |

| First day of school in the USA |
 |
| My elementary school was called Lake View so it was fun to see Lynndon going to a Lake View also. Different schools but same name. |
 |
| Cute sleeping baby. |

| They had some fun things going on at the park so we went and checked it out. |

| She's very surprised about her new used toy. |

| McCoy enjoyed it also. |

| We didn't have much stuff with us so this little contraption for Piper was exciting for everyone. |
