Uno Dog

A couple weeks ago. Bret put my dog Uno down... He was old (about 15 years) and just got worse everyday. He could barely step up onto the patio from the grass, which is probably only an inch and a half high, he would bark at nothing, just laying there barking, and his breathing was starting to get bad. Bret had a surgery day and decided that it would be a good day to put Uno out of his misery since he would have the controlled drugs out. I got Uno when I was in elementary school and he was My dog...with some help from my mom. My parents kept him when I moved out but when we moved here we could have a dog so we brought him back with us. Bret took x-rays and stuff and gave him pain meds to try to help him but he was just old and not getting better. It was kind of a crazy day and I cried more than I thought I would. I blame it on the pregnancy...

Lynndon petting him one more time.

Cooper petting one more time. It was not so fun trying to explain to cooper what was going on. You could tell he was trying to comprehend though.

I'm sorry, Charise. I know when my german shepherd died I bawled and I wasn't even home (already in college) or pregnant! Dogs really are family members. That would be difficult to be there and have him put down. But it is kind of cool that Bret got to try to help him and then do it himself. I hope you feel better today- or at least soon!xoxo
